Impeccable Logic: Race or Gender Qualified?

This is what absolutely kills me about “Progressives”. They claim they want society to look past someone’s gender and accept them for their mind or their accomplishments, but then push the idea that *I* should vote for someone like Hillary Rodham Clinton because she’s a woman, and it’s time for a woman president.

First of all, I don’t give a shyte about “making history”. To tell me that I should cast aside anything else I know and vote on the pure excitement of “breaking the glass ceiling” for the presidency, is an absolute insult to intellect. And to hear this crap being pushed from so-called “Feminists” is deplorable. They all ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Same goes for people who want a first Hispanic president, etc. A bunch of people voted to have the “first Black president” simply to be a part of “making history”, nevermind that he’s inept, naïve and more interested in social gatherings/golf than being leader of the free world. The last 8 years have been a doubling-down of the screw-ups from 2000-2008. Can we actually start judging people by the content of their character instead of their outward appearance, skin color included? If gender and color are supposed to be non-determinants of a person’s worthiness, why the hell are the media, Hollywood, etc. beating the drum to make a certain candidate’s gender or skin-color the most desirable aspect of their qualifications? Hey folks, it’s still discrimination! Except instead of excluding folks or disqualifying them for such, you’re making it the base of their worth. It’s still wrong.

I will be voting for the candidate that has the better record of pushing back against Big Government and expanding personal liberty. The Government is not my God, nor is it my parent. I am a free woman, and I can make my own decisions on how to take care of myself, and I can be whatever the hell I want to be, without the help of a few elitists in Washington, DC.

Please think for yourselves and don’t get caught up in labels or “making history”. There have been plenty of times in the world where “making history” was absolutely not a good thing. It should NEVER be why you elect someone.
